  1. So I am using Zoho to put together my presentation. I think there are some limitations with this open source software as I can't seem to figure out how to use animation, which I wanted to include as one of my points to avoid...unnecessary and distracting animation and noises. Nonetheless, I have used a few photos from FlickrStorm searching through Creative Commons. However, some of these selections still come up as copyrighted with all rights reserved. Does this negate my ability to use these in the presentation despite acknowleding the source?

  2. I decided to step out of my comfort zone of using power point and went with www.sliderocket.com, I felt that designing was similar to power point (once figuring out where all the controls were) what I felt wasn't so great was that since it is connected to the server saving time wasn't efficient and would loose things here and there. My favorite short-cut Ctrl-Z also was a little flaky sometimes undoing the last 6 things done instead of just the last. Maybe a little frustrating for students. Overall I may use it again. Here it is....

  3. I created my presentation through Zoho Show. I found it for the most part user-friendly, however I did find it to be a little slow when trying to edit text and move objects. The only thing I didn't like about it (from a math point of view) is when typing exponents or symbols, you have to insert them as symbols in a new textbox. Instead of just using superscripts, for example. Overall it was pretty good. Here is my link from SlideShare.

  4. DaynaMarie, I enjoyed your presentation it was professional, got the point across and had personality. I think being a math teacher myself I also related personally to it. Nice Job. We had similar points as well. With these three presentation, I see a common theme occurring already.

  5. Thank you Veronica. I enjoyed yours as well. I think everyone came up with great points- it was nice to see everyone's ideas come together. And I agree, we do have a lot of commonalities in our points.
